A couple of weeks ago, I went to a writers meeting and ended up at a car show. When I saw it, I just had to go have a look at some of the cars that would suit my characters. One of my favorite things to do is research for my characters. Find cars they'd drive. Houses where they'd live. Clothes they'd wear. I love going to antique shops. The car show was my first and I really enjoyed. I saw some cars I'd love to have. I love muscle cars! So does my character, Hot Rod Harris, who collects muscle cars. The red 68 Camaro would be his favorite! He's named her Cathy the Camaro
Here's a Chevy. 1957, I think. Darlene would like this one!

Hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving holiday! This week I am posting a snippet from my novella, Almost An Outlaw. Darcy and Austin are talking about the kiss they shared years ago when they were teenagers. Darcy had no idea Austin had never kissed a girl.
“You were the first girl I ever kissed.”
His words shocked her. “I’m the first girl you ever kissed?”
"I'd never had a sweetheart." He shrugged. "Most fathers didn't want someone like me near their daughters."
Almost an Outlaw is available on Amazon, Nook and the Carina Press website. Check out the links on the sidebar.
Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate your comments and I hope you have a great week. You can find other authors at www.sixsunday.com or #sixsunday. Note: some snippets are not suitable for all ages.

I have to say there has never been any bargains (and I love clearance sales) that I would camp out for 4 days in advance of the sale.
Of course this is a great time for getting good buys and I've gotten a few lately. Over the past few weeks, I have been very busy getting things done around my house. I guess you could call it fall cleaning. Mostly, I've been working in the kitchen on the weekends. While I was at it, I decided to get new curtains.I bought a red valance for my kitchen window from Amazon. Never bought curtains online before but I couldn't find a solid red valance in the local stores.
The curtains from Nancy's Nook were great! They were the right color. A brick red and they were scalloped-hem, which was very nice and they were lined as well. I was surprised. Also, the price was great. Less than $20.
I really lucked up this past Sunday. I had been looking for a new microwave for months and I found a Kenmore microwave in red that I wanted. I waiting for a good deal on it and this weekend I got it for half price in a pre-Black Friday sale. I'm hoping to get it set up this weekend. Plus I got a blender for half-price.
I'd really love to find a great buy on a bread machine. So I'll be checking out Amazon. They have already started Black Friday week and the sales look great. If you like magazines, they've got subscriptions for $5 a year available.
Have you found any good deals lately?
